The adapter it comes with is too small to fit the radiator of the Suburban. The cooler itself is universal.) It seems to be doing a very good job. The Suburban is not shifting as hard any more, nor is it delaying to shift. I have it rigged to cool after the cooler in the radiator (which also cools the engine/engine oil) and my engine temp has dropped about 10-15 degrees since installing. I do not have a temp gauge on my transmission to give an exact temp for the tranny, but the vehicle has one for the engine oil. A very nice cooler over all. I researched it and found that it is rated at 16,000 GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight)which is more then needed to cool a Suburban with a 5.3L V8.
